NOTHING IS PERMANENT

Take a deep breath. It's just a bad day, not a bad life.


Coping with stress at work is indeed the hottest topic of discussion these days. Stress is undeniably in the colossal amount, but it is more because each one of us is more focused on improving our lifestyles rather than our lives. Everyone who is working has, at some point, felt the pressure of work-related stress. Any job can have stressful elements, even if you love what you do. In the short-term, you may experience pressure to meet a deadline or to fulfill a challenging obligation. But when work stress becomes chronic, it can be overwhelming — and harmful to both physical and emotional health.


Our repeated futile attempts at controlling our present and future force us to take actions that define the destiny of all those connected, leaving an ever-lasting impression on everyone’s life. This stress needs to be worked upon, it needs to be controlled. But how? An outburst of a friction of second, and tables are turned. Meditation, deep breathing exercises and mindfulness can help melt away stress. Appreciating the employees, keeping fun activities on Fridays or Saturdays, incentive programs, occasional day out; all these factors help relieving the stress factor among all. Adopt the services of counsellors who can discuss the bothered areas with an individual. Remember, it’s a family that we run, not just a money-making organization.


You must be wondering what inspired us to pick this topic. Well a very unfortunate incident happened where a very successful entrepreneur committed suicide due to serious liquidity crunch leading to tremendous pressure from the lenders. What led such a preeminent businessman who brought revolution in a country of tea-lovers by setting up India’s very first largest coffee chain, take such a haste step? ANXIETY.


We suggest, give yourself a break, don’t freak out. Talk your heart out, you may not find a solution but you will definitely have an access to clear thoughts.

BRAIN BURSTING!!!

Did we say too much in the title? May be. But don’t we all go through this; almost everyday?


Is there any rule to handle the work pressure? Does anyone here know how to meet the deadline, ask the boss to raise the salary, & who gives the financial security? Or do we have to gain that too?? Phewwww!!


Too much to know in this small life. What is this race for? Whom are we competing with? Do we really want to prove it to someone or is that the ego that demands satisfaction?


Well, we can hear different answers but understand one thing out of these. Each one of us want to be successful, climb the stairs of Victory; but not one at a time instead all at one time. Like you, we too have dreams, aspirations, we too want to achieve all that others have, infact much more than them. But we know one thing, all these demand passion, determination & most importantly, patience. To remind you all, most of us will end up being mediocre in life, never achieving what our friends have, what we have desired for; not because we are not hard working, but because we don’t give time to things. Don’t be in rush. Enjoy each moment of life. Never over-look what you have. For believe us, there is so much you have that others die for.


It is neither the work pressure nor the deadline that kills us, it is the non-competent attitude that stresses us. The lack of will, dying attitude, freaks us & we end up delivering either nothing or rubbish. If this gravity is taken otherwise then think of the outcome? Start taking these challenges as never before & see the difference. Again, I warn you to not demand anything overnight; wait, trust, keep giving your best every time, & no sooner you will start getting the fruits of the seeds sown.


So my dear friends, the crux of this long written blog is to not freak out ever in life. Life is beautiful, it demands appreciation for what it has given. At the same time, it needs rest too. Take it easy, deep breathe & accept what comes your way, at the same time fighting to get what you have aspired for. Life is too short to cry over spilled milk.


Journey may not be desired, will never be contended but it definitely will be worth giving another shot each time we fall down.

Be who you are, and say what you feel. It’s not being rude, it’s being real. Don’t tell me you are here to impress others (unless he is your boyfriend!!). If you are, then my dear friend you are in big mess! A mother who kept us in her womb for nine months, who bore all the pain in bringing us up, is not always happy then how the hell you can make anyone else always happy. Always happy is a big myth which looks various shoulders to rely on. Believe me, making mistakes is better than faking Perfections.


Just be yourself. Let people see the Real, Imperfect, Flawed, Quirky, Weird, Beautiful, Magical Person you are. Let them hate you. Remember, Real is so rare.


We are known as the Makers, and Creators, and Reliable in the event management industry. Despite this, the audience has accepted us with all the endless flaws we have. And we are not ashamed, neither do we try to hide them. We are what we are. Accept us or JUST ACCEPT US. We own a sense of individuality, and anything awkward and imperfect is loved by us as that’s natural and real. We aim to be the Best not the Rest. For we know that Respect is earned, Honesty is appreciated, Trust is gained and Truth is always victorious. We believe to be the same person Privately, Publically and Personally as there is no un – do in real life.


When we see people suffering from invisible illness, the most powerful words we say them is: I BELIEVE IN YOU. We believe, love and respect the real you. It may be small, but we are associated with a group of such corporates who are perfect in their own Imperfect world. What makes them different is what makes them beautiful. This imperfection is worth enough to imbibe conviction that this world may be about perfect and imperfect, but REAL always stays longer and last.

What is Today may not be Tomorrow

Tough days don’t last long. Remember, rosy days aren’t permanent too. Today’s assets may be tomorrow’s debts!!


Hey!! I know you all know us. Yes, we are an event management company well known for our work, delivery, punctuality, perfect cost, management, desired property and all. Many reputed corporates approach us and are with us for so many years now because of our attributes only. But there are many times when we too go wrong. Well, I have a story to narrate.


An event came our way and we really had a tough time. Things went tipsy – topsy at the last moment. All was well – planned; data, manpower, placement, equipment and give away. The team was all excited, charged up, ready to execute the plan. Suddenly a phone call and the things started to fall apart. “The date of the event has been preponed by a day. Instead of day after tomorrow, it is now tomorrow”, said the client. And we were all startled. The client rejected five of the fifteen models at the last moment. Calling the vendors, photographers, looking for new models, their size, getting new dresses ready as per the new size, foot wears and Uffffff!!!! In few hours left, all we could manage were the models.


Continuous calls were made to different departments regarding the shift in date and timings. Each one of us tried our best to put the things in order, or at least closer to being in order. None slept for the whole night, the gates were made ready in the night at four venues to lessen the last minute hassle. But destiny further surprised us in the morning. The gates were stolen! Great! Now one after the other, things only slipped from our hands. Models reached late, dresses and accessories were not delivered on time, printer was missing at some venue; and the clients were yelling at us from all over.


Finally the day ended. We managed to clear as much we had thrown up. The post party we planned was nowhere in the scene. We were exhausted and ready for much more hassles to come our way in the form of cost, questions, management and what not.


And another phone call, “Our Company is conducting an event next week. Are you guys free?” And the same cheer could be heard once again, charged up with inexorable energy.


A lesson learnt hard way. Expect the unexpected at any time of the day at any event. Be on your toes if you are a part of this industry.

When We Talk About Creativity…

Do you have ideas but you are not acting on them? Then, you may be imaginative but definitely not creative.


“What could we do differently to create a little ‘tall poppy’ syndrome for our clients’ events?” Think, think, think…Idea!! But will it work? No…I should think something else.


Strange!! Without even working on it you have come to a conclusion that it will not work. This is the murder of creativity. Success does not depend on our thinking but on its implementation.


Creativity is all about turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. It involves thinking, and then producing. It is not just associated with design and décor. It is extended to budgeting, i.e., partnering clients’ events together to share costs and maximizing experiences or conveying a message to create awareness about a product, service or company


From complex problems through to design, event concepts, ideas for content delivery, presentation formats, deciding the best possible use of a selected venue space can all be well taken care only if we dare to do what different we think.


You don’t necessarily need to think out of the box every time, what’s important is how you execute a plan. Sometimes a cliché idea does wonders and an exclusive plan flops to death. It’s all about how you bring your dream idea to existence. Our strong positive mental attitude always create more miracles than any wonder drug.


Remember if you want people to remember your brand and your event; a creative approach and creative delivery is the key. So fly high in the sky with the creative wings God has blessed you with.

WRITING STYLE

Hi! I am a Copy Writer. Yes, I need constant inspiration to write. Ideas don’t jump in the mind. There are times when I am as blank as a blank page.


I know I am expected to be ready with the content at the call of the boss. But boss needs to understand that my brain too goes on rest, sometimes on weekdays too. Well, that’s the irony every writer faces. Cool, smart, intelligent, word players…yes, we agree we are. But we too have our limitations. Sometimes no idea even hovers near us, creativity goes to sleep, brain is inactive.


But don’t you think that’s where the beauty lies too. Beauty of our profession! Waking up the sleeping mind, challenging the ideas when they don’t want to come near us( as if we haven’t taken a shower today), fumbling with words, and finally coming up with something that might just goes into the dustbin. Huh!!


Despite of all this chaos, I love my profession as it allows me to be myself, to vent out my woes, to bring my imagination to reality, to take revenge from my boss by screwing his brain by not delivering what he expects. But indeed a smart man who knows how to wake up a sleeping moron; giving a deadline, showing the work of other writers, telling why they are praise worthy. And trust me, in no time does that lazy, crouching writer inside me wakes up.


Suddenly that envious me delivers the best write – up. And then a life within me gets alive hearing, Awesome!, This is it!, Good to go!...from my boss. This is how he pays off my hard work; praising my work whole – heartedly, telling me why I am here working with him. A lifeless soul again gears up with endless fountain of ideas overflowing looking for a pen and a paper. Once again my heart pounds to hear those words from him. Unimaginable! Isn’t it?


This is the story of every writer. One of you may be reading this blog and agree (that’s what my imagination suggests, at least).

Every moment spent in an Event of every man’s life on earth plants something in his soul


A single event can awaken within us a stranger totally unknown to us. To live is to be slowly born. Event planners thrive on creating experiences from the ground up. We are always thinking about how we can improve our process and promotion to meet our goals. It is no secret that event planning is stressful – and burnout is frequent. The process can be long and, often, a little bumpy as we attempt to balance brand and sponsor interests, attendee must – haves and other high – value integrations. We often find ourselves struggling with a particularly demoralizing slump.


But we always remember that we are a people person who loves helping attendees having an amazing time. Fueled by our passion, we are able to diffuse most situations and stay calm while doing it. When the fatigue and exhaustion set in after the last attendee walks away, we sometimes think to ourselves that we need a break before our next event. But since we love what we do, we’ll wake up refreshed and ready to get right back at it.


The event’s careful planning will no doubt pay off when missteps happen – we know who to call, how to react and the pieces that have to come together now to right the course. And that’s the mark of a true pro.

They delete the word ‘No’ from their Dictionaries, they laugh on every single joke of their Masters, they share information, secrets and issues with them, and they certainly complain less.


They can be anywhere, they sometimes look like your team members, your colleagues, your peon or even your Boss. Earning a comfort zone is not bad, asking for one, is a sin. Probably your Boss, Dept. Head, colleague or Admin Head would save your a** every time, but this would make your Future addictive of such behavior. People start taking you for granted, blame it to the Human nature, but people may start confusing your ‘Performance Driven Success’ with “Favoritism Driven Appreciation’. Your Clients will start stretching the Delivery list and shrink the Deadlines. Your Boss will lose fear of losing your expertise and even existence in the company and your colleagues will start avoiding your presence from meetings, discussions and decisions.


To participate in casual chat with your Boss is a matter of chance, but to open your submissive self for him or her to practice the acts of Domination is a matter of choice. To meet the deadlines of your clients is one thing but to confuse deadlines with Lap Records is another. To never say ‘No’ to people is one thing, but to always Agree with their opinions and decisions is another.


It’s never too late to keep this addiction at bay, it’s not always bad to say ‘No’, and it’s not always required to agree with everyone. Be a Player, not a Game.
